OUR STORY
Southern Gateway Church was planted in Knysna by Nick and Viv Campbell and their four children out of 3CI church in Pretoria. The church started in the year 2000 with the first meeting being held in the Campbells' house and the first members being their children and estate agent. Over the years SG Church has grown and been blessed by amazing families and seen many lives encounter the love of Jesus. We have had the massive privilege of seeing two church plants out of SG Church: Charl and Di van Eden, Xtreme Life Church and Brad and Eunice Joemat, Church at Tsitsikamma. We would love to see many more churches planted out of our togetherness into the world.​ In 2023 Nick and Viv handed the church over to Paul and Amy Campbell. In the same year, Southern Gateway Church was renamed Salt Church.

Paul and Amy love the body of Christ passionately. Salt Church was handed over to Paul and Amy in May 2023. Paul and Amy served on the eldership team in this house for several years and love this community with all their hearts. They both encountered God at a young age and due to their amazing sets of parents have grown up seeing the incredible benefits of being connected into local church - through the good times and the bad. Their hearts are to see the Kingdom of Heaven reign on Earth! They are hungry for the presence of God and for all people to know Him and encounter Him in His fullness and be forever changed. Worship, prayer, generosity, belonging and reconciliation are core values they and Salt Church hold dear.
